Invisalign uses a series of virtually invisible aligners that are precisely calibrated and manufactured to fit your individual mouth and teeth. They are so clear that no one can tell you’re wearing them. Since the Invisalign aligners are removable it allows you to eat and drink without the restrictions common to traditional braces or remove them for those special occasions. It also makes it easier to brush and floss. With no metal brackets and wires to deal with, the Invisalign aligners are very comfortable. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology which lets you view your virtual treatment plan at the time you get started, letting you see how your teeth will look when treatment is completed. HOW DOES INVISALIGN WORK?
- Each set of Invisalign aligners is worn for approximately 2 weeks.
- As each Invisalign aligner is replaced, the teeth move gradually until they reach their final corrected position.
- You’ll see Dr. Kardovich roughly every 6 to 8 weeks to get new sets of Invisalign aligners and to ensure that treatment is progressing as planned.
- Total treatment time averages 10 to 18 months but will vary from case to case.
